Another card, another challenge

Here's a card I made for last week's Hero Club Blog challenge. The challenge was to make a thank you card; using a holiday stamp was an "added bonus challenge".

I made a bunch of my Christmas cards with this little reindeer, so the first thing I thought of for this challenge was to have him standing in the wreckage of Christmas morning with all the wrapping paper and ribbons and bows scattered all around.

I cut out the ovals with my nestabilites and stamped the reindeer on white cardstock with chocolate brilliance dewdrops ink, then used watercolor pencils to color him in. The background is from a Christmas mat stack, but I put a piece of vellum over it because it looked a little too busy (well, OK, it still looks a little too busy, but still better than without the vellum!) I stamped and embossed the sentiment on the vellum and added a couple heart gems next to it.

I used blue Bazzil Bling for the bottom, and finished off by gluing fabric ribbons tied in little bows, some curling ribbons, and a variety or torn and crumpled scraps of Christmas paper around Rudolph's feet.

Thanks for looking!

My first Mojo

Well, I decided that this year I'd start entering my creations in some challenges, so here's the first one...
I made this card for the Mojo Monday week 67 sketch challenge on Poetic Artistry.

I stamped the butterfly with Chocolate Brilliance Dewdrops, then colored it with prisma pencils and blended with gamsol. I added a few dots on the wings with a white gel pen, and filled in some of the bubbles with a Sakura Stardust pen. I sponged a little more of the chocolate ink around the butterfly. To finish it off, I glued a few gems to the body of the butterfly and on either side of the sentiment.

I can never keep track of all my papers, but I'll try to be better about that in the future!

Thanks for stopping by!
